Law Enforcement across the U.S are targeting Backpage.com for child prostiutuon. Last yer 48 state district attorneys wrote letter to backpages to stop ads that promote prostitution.

Backpage is very similar to popular classified ad site Craig’s List. It is almost a carbon copy of Craigslist. The difference is that Backpage allows anyone to place adult entertainment ads. The user only has to click a button stating that they are over the age of 18. This has led to high levels of ads promoting sex and sexual acts. The freighting part is that the website has become a hub for child trafficking. Due to pressure from law enforcement, Backpage has added a cyber tip line for trafficking
