Real Strike App: Augmented Reality App for School Shooters

Augmented apps was just a buzz word for geeky 3D apps until a Louisiana teen brought them to the forefront. The high school student was arrested a month ago for using the app Real Strike to simulate gunning down his fellow students.

Real Strike is an IOS game that utilizes the mobile phone to create a virtual shoot out. The app superimposes big guns over the camera’s live feed to give the real life feel of shooting someone. Check out the video below:

The report is he conducted the virtual massacre in response to school bullying. The teen uploaded the shooting video to Youtibe which alarmed parents. They later called law enforcement to report the issue.

The problem with augmented apps is the line between reality and fantasy. Parents make sure to add augmented shooting apps to your list of apps to monitor
